A few introductory notes:
Package prices listed are estimates; we will make every effort to keep proposed budgets at or under the expectations set by these prices unless clients desire services above and beyond the package parameters.
In the production world, an equipment rental “week” is defined as a 3-4 days; so if a production extends beyond a 2 days, a weekly discount rate is applied.
A la carte services are included at the bottom.
The package prices assume three things:
All project production days (not pre-production or post-production) are in a single block of time: 4 commercials or 12 web videos are all filmed at once to maximize weekly rental rates. For example, a RED Digital Cinema Camera will cost about $700 for a single day but only $1000 for a 3-4 day production “week”- not every discount is so extreme, but it’s safe to factor in a 35% discount for production on a project that will film in blocks of 3 days or more.
Every line item on the rate card is used. Given the variance in creative ideas, however, this will likely not be the case on every project. This builds into our model the ability to exceed client expectations by coming in under budget, or by applying these funds to other areas that will enhance production value, such as sets, visual effects, and talent.
Only basic production elements are considered.
A. Basic broadcast production elements include: one on-screen actor, an animated logo and basic text-over-video motion graphics, custom music composition and all pre- and post-production work required to finish the commercial spot. As mentioned above, additional on-screen talent, special location considerations or additional visual effects will incur additional costs.
B. Web production elements include: on-screen talent assumed to be part of the organization (not paid as part of this production), a single camera operator and/or director, animated logo and basic text-over motion graphics, custom music composition and all pre- and post-production work required to finish the commercial spot. The closer a web series concept looks to the production of a commercial spot, the closer the rates will look to those a broadcast commercial.
All packages are calculated according to the prices listed on the Rate Card, assuming 8-hour production days and using the industry average of 4 hours of production time for every 60 seconds of finished “run time” (2 hours of filming and 2 hours of post-production). Estimates are capped off by rounding to the nearest $100.
While web and broadcast/TV commercial spots can be the same, web videos can have vastly different purposes and styles than a broadcast commercial, so we feel breaking this into a separate category brings added value to the client.
